Reverse

the angle of the outburst was of particular interest sudden. sharp. thrusting upward and then turning around blasting through unexpected and unannounced fields butterflies wrangled for breakfast and cheese walking back to my seat, I fell down letters for lunch choices for a lifetime no one tells you they could be the wrong ones would you have listened would you have dared? curious, I looked back and wondered the I-9 went south and not west as I recall candy was sweet roses were red after all...

Reckless

am I derelict
knowing now what I was uncertain of then
stuck in slow motion, pressing on air
tasting the promise
we both knew
yet,
somehow refused to pluck from the tender bloom there

dancing on snowflakes
I slid
straight to the center of something less than ten
steps to nirvana

meet me in elysian fields
where we'll dance with reckless abandon
run across the midnight moon
all before daylight
all before the sun begins to hide

that is, if it's still summer
springtime is passing
and winter is near,
stuck in slow motion
holding back tears

Thoughts on a sunny, spring day

Here's wishing everyone had a Happy Easter!

Here's to a sunny springtime for all.

Ever wish your life was as happy as the picture above? Wouldn't it be grand if all you had to do was think it and it would appear?

Interesting question, isn't it... for in that question is the answer as life is all about perception.

Just some thoughts I thought I'd share on this sunny, spring day.

Summons

last night, we met as before
during the second summons of our winter sun
beneath the moonless canopy
in the designated season
where dreams live and breathe.
we had to race
far from the chatter of listening ears
or views from curious eyes
we sat and shared as we pressed our way
shadows cared and watched above

there is this place if you believe
where we can be
undisturbed and quiet, dear
we will remember
and live again
the spaces between the imaginings...
