Breathe

every time I turn my heart
hoping and craving like a lovesick fool
savoring every nostalgic tribute of some bygone era
tracing a memory or preposterous dream,
what I really need to do is
wake up,
stand straight
push back the clouds of deception
pull on these cords of redemption
and breathe,
won’t you
with me …

Breathe long slow deep breaths.....and then hold your breath. Can't hold the air too long....before you need to breathe again love your new poem, Alisa

...alisaJs, deeper than deep...the whole pome is an explication of what you[we]everybody is GONNA DO ONE OF THESE DAYS IF YOU DON'T STOP YOUR YADA YADA, sorta screaming our way through relationships of love?...and then we NEED someone to make IT real...and the small last two lines are a monument to our search for anima, the part of each of us that is missing and with lil' coup de maitre at the end i just sat before i wrote anything.

Nicely put. Wow! That was a swell invitation to paradise for two. Emotions laid bare and I love the passionate yearning. Now for the acceptance.

Cheers
Paterika
