Passion's Surrender

I called today to say, 'hi'
But what I really wanted to express,
How would I begin?

I miss you profoundly, I do
All through the daybright along with night teases,
The sound of your voice, caress of your soul
Sheer beauty of your laughter and extraordinary passion
Time spent with you alone,
Nothing else mattered and no one comes close
To the ecstasy shared, not ever!

We ran though those wildfires, consumed
Breathless and exhausted by heights seldom glimpsed
By mere mortals, indeed
So incredibly amazed as we lay there,
Both spent and exhausted we could hardly believe
There was another so perfectly matched,
A soul flame in sync at long last ...

I will never give up, how could I?
For I have tasted heaven's fruits with you
We both know it, too and
Cannot deny that awesome surrender,
So, when the time is just right, I will be there
Exactly the way we knew it would be ...

these 2 lines really spoke out to me:

Nothing else mattered and no one comes close
To the ecstasy shared, not ever!

----and memories they sure are, ones that build that everlasting passion, it will be remembered and looked upon for its gracious beauty above all, and destiny plays with us sometimes, have the current day to charish not for tomorrow, awesome done!!

you seem t be blazin
with a fire
spreadin wildly from some
great muse

there are many many great lines here

'We ran through those wildfires,consumed'

if i might make one suggestion though

i have a problem with usin' cliches in poetry

i think it might help t rethink the line

'glimpsed
by mere mortals, indeed...'

it can work
& there are alotta folks out there
that would not neccessarily agree with me

none the less
this is much more than five star poetry

'a soul flame in sync'...how wonderfully put! (watch those throughs and thoughs) 2nd line...2nd stanza). If I ran through those wildfires, I'd be too exhausted to do anything else! Time to buy that treadmill. To taste Heaven's fruit again...what an uplifting thought and motivation to keep trying! t

I love it! I love the word daybright! I know what you mean about the sound of a voice, what that can do to you! And the laughter of those you love,...never a better sound!

The title of this one is just exquisite my sister in poetry! The words of each stanza are such an incredible description of the title itself. Fantastic read, as usual my friend....much love to ya, Rene'

Two for two, you are on fire! Where's that "RAIN" when you need it..lol! A very sweet and wise (not to mention very cute)someone said to me yesterday, I quote "Happiness is as a butterfly which, when pursued is always beyond our grasp, but if you sit down quietly may alight upon you."

A time and a place where something happened between two lovers. Was not the sex in particular that did it. It was sex with the abandonment of pretense. Passion without the guise of the ordinary where anything goes without holding back. Therein is the liberation of both love and passion, lust and the action of becoming it. Good piece. alan
