Swoon

your words captured my heart
took possession of this faltering beat
apprehended my interest, you do
and I am inquisitive again,
cautiously eager
I know it's unorthodox,
yet I simply can't wait
for the next day
and the next time
of you ...

I found this one most exhilerating, touching, capturing my heart and mind with your masterfully chosen words. Painting such a vivid and emotional image. Thanks for sharing a piece of your golden heart with us. Love David

I am so eager for the "HOPE" in this one, so full with the "MAYBE", so enduring the "WAIT". I find the simpleness pleasing and the breath less restless ~ sigh ~ :}

Me, too.. Amy....

lol

this one was inspired by a new friend who lives in Turkey....

he has such an incredibly sweet and caring spirit, so refreshing… I find myself getting caught off-guard, in it’s innocence

which is a pleasant reprieve for me.

lol

Sending you ((( hugs ))) from across the ocean blue..

simply and beautifully stated. I so agree with you...common phrases
can make for a beautiful piece as this clearly demonstrates.

Thank you, Deckard!

Thank you for your comments, my friend. As you and I know... poetry
is a melody from the heart that sings, rising up from the soul and
will resonate with some and not others.

I write to express these emotions when inspired and understand I won't
please everyone, nor do I expect to.

This is the beauty of poetry, the written word....emotions on
parchment, as it were.

Sending you wishes for a great fourth of July weekend, my friend.

Again, absolutely lovely. Simple and breathtaking.

"yet I simply can't wait

for the next day

and the next time

of you .." - absolutely great.

You are very very talented!
