When

If you have tasted that fire, unmistakable
Desire shared by two,
and those heights you both reached
Were ones only dreamed of
and written about down through the ages,
By certain great poets, romantic...

Tell me, how can you forget?
and simply go on
With your life as before,
Dust off your heart and step forward
Peering perhaps towards new horizons,
I remember a time when time was no more
Must have been something I ate...

Oh, how you use that quill to paint gorgeous pictures of love in eloquent tapestry and sensuous thrills as you provide wholesome pleasure reading through the voice of the persona you have created. The rich imagery is so alive and full of reality that draws the reader in the spell magnificently molded, around each well crafted word: “If you have tasted that fire, unmistakable/Desire shared by two, and those heights you both reached...Tell me, how can you forget? And simply go on with your life as before...” I must say that only a true romantic and that’s what you are Alisa, can write such awesome poetry with deep heartfelt emotions. I found great pleasure in reading this one. You are in to something big for I see your name among the 21st Century romantic poets and this is no flippancy on my part for your artistry is profound. Thank you for sharing.

ahhhh something you ate, some potent stuff you ate too, hmmm... always a step forward, one foot in front of the other (and not one foot in one mouth) hehe, I wish that time did not exist myself, because when it's mixed with 'distance' it spells hardship, awesome done!!

Excellent my friend. Poetry can send us into a world of romance and imagination.
Reality can tend to park us in another place. olhip48

Yes, eating before bedtime can produce some vivid dreams, the trouble arises when the indigestion wakes us up and we get a glimpse of who is asleep beside us! It's an amusing piece my Pacific Dream, but your moral is not missed. With the proper embers and fuel another fire can be stoked doll! Great food for thought is this little gem Alisa. Well done/Chris

Amazing, amusing, and crazy-confusing

You carefully constructed a stunning statue of life and love;
The deepest emotions and romantic dreams
As onlookers stand in awe, contemplating its exquisiteness,
You quietly pick up your rocket launcher and blow it to smithereens.

………………….cool.

You’re definitely on to something, Alisaji
